So much more than a covers band; The Belgrave House Band are an incredibly talented collective who carefully consider the albums that they perform, and clearly put their heart and soul into doing so. If you’re gonna do ‘Ziggy’ you’ve gotta do it right. They nailed it!

From Mars to Farsley; another rock legend lands at Sunny Bank Mills.
The Spiders from Mars were Bowie’s northern contingent, with the original line-up all hailing from the Yorkshire & Humber region. It therefore seemed fitting for the evening’s gathering to take place in an old mill, where we were treated to stories from the inner sanctum of the Stardust era.
At the end of the night I met the man himself, who signed my gig poster and original copy of The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders from Mars. An LP that once cost me a quid in a charity shop is now priceless.

Having never seen the legend himself (massive regret), this gig was a poignant tribute to David Bowie, who died 6 months previously.
Ed Blaney and the band played two tribute sets, the first being a recreation of the ‘Ziggy Stardust’ album, followed by a selection greatest hits from the rest of Bowie’s repertoire; from Berlin to ‘Blackstar’.
A talented group of musicians, who performed an accurate and fitting tribute show – although in my opinion, the fancy dress (Bowie costumes from various eras) wasn’t really required.
